Position Overview

As a Purchase Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring our procurement processes are competitive and cost-effective. Collaborating closely with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal departments, your main goal will be to identify and secure the best prices for aircraft parts through negotiation, market analysis, and supplier relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and negotiate with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions for components via communication with internal and external sources
  • Interface with sales teams and other departments on critical issues
  • Create and issue internal orders and related documents to meet parts and materials requirements
  • Prioritize items to ensure timely delivery and accessibility of parts
  • Identify alternate and superseded part numbers
  • Properly receive, bin, issue, and ship materials in a timely manner
  • Coordinate delivery of materials to various locations
  • Confirm invoice accuracy
  • Monitor deliveries by tracking parts status and communicating with vendors as needed; update Repair Planner accordingly
  • Receive and check in parts, matching delivered parts to repair orders and ensuring they are accurately accounted for on the parts cart
  • Inspect delivered parts for damage within two hours of expected drop-off
  • Return incorrect parts immediately to vendors
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Work Schedule

This is a full-time on-site position based in Fort Lauderdale.

Monday to Friday: 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM

Required Qualifications

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Fluent in English and Portuguese
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in aviation, material/parts environment, or demonstrably equivalent experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration across departments
  • Ability to organize and coordinate multiple requests efficiently and urgently
  • Background in business administration or related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in inventory planning and procurement
