About the Role

As a Punjabi Localization Translator/Proofreader at Duolingo, you'll be integral to creating engaging, accurate, and culturally relevant content for Punjabi learners. Join our talented Globalization team and make a meaningful impact from anywhere in the world!

Responsibilities 📝

• Localize all marketing and product content, ensuring fidelity, charm, and adherence to Duolingo's style guidelines
• Participate in meetings and collaborative sessions with team members to agree on style, tone, and vocabulary
• Help develop in-house style guides tailored for Punjabi localization
• Create content that is both understandable and captivating for Punjabi audiences

Requirements ✅

• Native fluency in Punjabi and full professional proficiency in English
• 3+ years of experience in translating, transcreation, proofreading, or copywriting for Punjabi audiences
• Experience localizing online, mobile, or gaming products
• A portfolio showcasing your previous work
• Strong enthusiasm for Duolingo and our mission
• Availability to work 5-15 hours per week, with flexible workload variation
