Job Responsibilities

• Accurately convey thoughts and intentions: Interpret spoken language swiftly and precisely, maintaining the original message's integrity.
• Cultural competence: Understand and adapt to cultural nuances to ensure effective communication.
• Provide language solutions: Offer on-site and remote interpreting options to meet client needs.
• Professional communication: Conduct interpreting sessions with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Maintain confidentiality: Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and protect sensitive information during sessions.

Requirements

• Language proficiency: Native fluency in English and Punjabi.
• Communication skills: Excellent listening, speaking, and retention abilities.
• Medical terminology: Experience with medical language preferred.
• Administrative skills: Prompt submission of timekeeping and administrative tasks.
• Mobility: Ability to travel across multiple locations within the region.
• Driving credentials: Valid CA driver's license and current auto insurance.
• Availability: Willingness to work during regular business hours (8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.) with flexibility.
• Screenings: Successful completion of pre-screen, background, and drug screenings; verification of work authorization.
• Medical clearances: Willing to obtain TB, MMR, Varicella immunity proof, and stay up-to-date with COVID-19 vaccinations and boosters.
