The Job – What You’ll Do

Interpreting involves listening, understanding, and accurately reproducing spoken content from the source language to the target language. Your responsibilities include:

• Interpreting for legal, healthcare, and local government services
• Checking non-English speakers' understanding after each sentence
• Providing conference, consecutive, and public service interpreting
• Handling highly confidential information with discretion
• Liaising between service users and providers

What We're Looking For

• Fluency in English and another language
• Legal right to work in the UK
• Age 21 or over
• Formal qualifications (preferred but not mandatory):
• Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI)
• Community Interpreting
• NRPSI, CIOL, ITI registration (advantageous)
• Degree in Translation, Interpreting, or Languages
• Other interpreting-related qualifications
