Job Summary 🎯
This role is part of the Alternative Education department. Under supervision, you'll organize and implement projects and programs across the County Office of Education. You may oversee lower-level staff and will work primarily during the school year, with potential summer work. Travel across various sites in Santa Cruz County is required.
Qualifications & Requirements 🎓🚗
- Education: Equivalent to an Associate’s degree in social services or related field; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Experience: At least two years in implementing state or federally funded programs.
- License: Valid California driver’s license and insurance; ability to obtain if not already held.
Application Process 📝
Applicants must submit a completed application with a résumé if possible. Qualified candidates will be invited to:
- Pass a written exam (50%)
- Pass an oral exam on knowledge and skills (50%)
An eligibility list will be created, lasting for six months, and the top candidates will be interviewed for final selection. Reasonable accommodations are available upon request. Bilingual proficiency is required to qualify for the 2.5% stipend, contingent on passing the oral exam. Fingerprinting and tuberculosis testing are also required for final candidates.
