Position Overview
The Program and Relationship Director (PRD) collaborates with team members to create diverse learning experiences tailored to adult learners at all levels. The PRD manages partnerships with aligned organizations, coordinates course offerings with faculty, supports recruitment efforts, and develops marketing strategies.
This role reports to the Director of Tamid, working closely with various Hebrew College departments including marketing and the business office. The position is 18 hours per week, with an in-person component on Wednesdays at Hebrew College in Newton. It is a year-round opportunity with a compensation of $30,000.
Key Responsibilities
- Team Collaboration: Contribute to a positive work environment and support fellow PRDs.
- Program Promotion: Engage with community sites by:
- Meeting with current and prospective partners
- Recruiting and vetting faculty
- Assessing community needs and matching sites with courses and instructors
- Course and Program Management: Collect and evaluate proposals, advise site liaisons, and support course logistics and marketing.
- Faculty and Site Coordination: Communicate regularly, oversee course planning, and manage administrative tasks.
- Technical Support: Use Hebrew College’s learning management systems, input data, and troubleshoot as needed.
- Student Recruitment: Conduct one-on-one conversations, targeted emails, and organize informational sessions.
- Event Planning: Collaborate on the annual Celebration of Adult Learning and Me’ah Classic graduation.
- Reporting & Community Engagement: Provide updates to leadership, represent Tamid at community events, and develop programs aligned with community needs.
- Budget & Scholarship Management: Assist in budget planning and oversee scholarship disbursement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent required
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, with strong multitasking skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, approachable demeanor
- Flexible work style, capable of meeting tight deadlines and adapting to priorities
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Professionalism and discretion in handling sensitive information
- Bonus: Knowledge of and connections within the Boston Jewish Community
