The Department of Jewish Studies at Tulane University is seeking a dedicated full-time Professor of Practice to enhance our modern Hebrew language program, offering a renewable three-year appointment beginning July 1, 2026.

About the Role

This non-tenure track position involves:

• Teaching a load of 3 courses per semester
• Instruction at first- and second-year levels, as well as advanced courses in modern Hebrew
• Contributing to the development of Hebrew language curricular offerings at Tulane

Qualifications

• PhD in language pedagogy, Hebrew, or a related field
• Extensive college-level teaching experience
• Proven success in the classroom
