Job Responsibilities (But Not Limited To)

  • Lead daily production operations by directing Production Supervisors in workforce planning, labor allocation, and shift coverage to maximize efficiency and productivity; proactively address absenteeism and attendance issues.
  • Monitor workforce attendance and labor utilization to ensure compliance with company policies and labor laws.
  • Manage production performance by reviewing output, efficiency, and downtime; collaborate with teams to identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure readiness of materials and equipment to prevent delays and support ongoing operations.
  • Oversee vendor relationships related to production, including equipment, consumables, and service providers.
  • Develop and maintain SOPs ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with operational and regulatory standards.
  • Implement training programs to support skill development, safety, and operational excellence.
  • Prepare and present reports on production KPIs and updates for management reviews.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance through regular audits, inspections, and corrective actions.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Food Science, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing or food production experience, including 2–3 years in supervisory roles.
  • Proven leadership managing Production Supervisors and multi-shift operations in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, food safety standards, OSHA regulations, and applicable compliance requirements.
  • Experience in workforce planning, labor management, and attendance in line with policies and laws.
  • Analytical skills in evaluating production KPIs and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Problem-solving capabilities including root cause analysis and corrective action implementation.
  • Experience developing SOPs and ensuring operational consistency.
  • Leadership in training initiatives to improve employee performance and safety awareness.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams like QA, Maintenance, SCM, and HR.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP/production management systems.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed.
