Production Scheduler

Join our team as a Production Scheduler, responsible for planning and coordinating manufacturing activities to meet customer demands efficiently. This role requires collaboration across departments, effective communication, and a strong understanding of production processes.

Reports To: Fulfillment Manager

Job Description

This position is responsible for planning production schedules based on forecasts, material availability, production turnaround times, and customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Generate production schedules and establish order priorities and material availability
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate execution of production plans
• Analyze data and prepare performance reports
• Share decision-making with Production Manager/Supervisor based on material status and order priorities
• Plan, schedule, coordinate, and expedite material issuance to the production floor
• Ensure effective inventory and material transaction management through work orders
• Address material shortages, backlogs, or potential schedule disruptions impacting production
• Interface directly with customers regarding daily shipping activities
• Follow up on important shipments from material receiving through production to shipping, when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned

Work Environment

Office located in Houston; this role is not remote but offers a hybrid work arrangement. Expect to be in the office during the workday.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
• Proven ability to work independently and multitask effectively
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
• Hands-on experience with SAP
• Ability to remain flexible in a dynamic work environment
• Previous Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRP) experience preferred

Education and Experience

• Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• At least 5 years of production control experience in electronic system integration within OEM or CM manufacturing environments
• Bilingual in Spanish is required
• APICS certification is a plus
