The Production Planning Specialist/NACUP Planner position plays a vital role in supporting the overall operations of NACUP alongside the NACUP manager, focusing on order placement, production scheduling, and process optimization.

📌 Job Overview

The NACUP (Customizing Center of North America) specializes in ordering components such as Base, Boom, Arm, and Bucket for excavators from South Korea, developing assembly schedules, and managing production to ensure timely delivery.

🔧 Operations Management

  • Supports and leads continuous improvement initiatives, problem-solving, and process optimization activities.
  • Maintains and consolidates monthly reports covering each operational activity.
  • Conducts semi-annual inventory audits by executing comprehensive physical counts of all machines and parts.
  • Engages in activities aimed at increasing efficiency and productivity, including identifying and resolving production issues to prevent delays or errors.
  • Establishes standard work procedures, layout maps, and standardized work sequences for workspace and subsidiary materials.
  • Focuses on boosting productivity through production optimization, waste reduction, cost saving, and reducing lead times.

🛠️ Production Management

  • Coordinates immediate corrective actions during production issues in collaboration with the NACUP general manager, such as addressing defective, missing, or incorrect parts.
  • Monitors daily production status, discussing issues with management to ensure smooth operations.
  • Production Scheduling: Develops and maintains daily production schedules based on dealer orders, transitioning machines from SKD to CBU stages based on port arrivals.
  • Works closely with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure all parts, kits, and machines are staged and ready for production.
  • Collaborates with the Quality Team to verify that all units meet company standards before shipment clearance.
  • Manages claims related to equipment damage and loss for reimbursement.
  • Serves as the central planning hub for multiple sites including Rincon, Shippensburg, Tacoma, and League City, coordinating production and inventory flow across locations.

💰 Invoice Management

  • Cost Control: Carefully reviews partner invoices to identify overcharges, duplicates, or incorrect billing rates.
  • Creates expense vouchers and prepares monthly expense summaries.

✈️ Travel Work Requirements

  • ✈️ 20% Travel Required: Regular visits to oversee production at various sites and facilitate leadership coordination.
  • 🌍 Visits to strategic sites: Rincon, Shippensburg, Tacoma, and League City to enhance workflow efficiencies.
  • 🏢 Quarterly travel to headquarters in Norcross for strategic planning, financial reviews, and leadership meetings.

🗃️ Administrative Management

  • Tracks and manages office and warehouse assets, including company vehicles, forklifts, and IT equipment.
  • Coordinates with the Asset Team to ensure proper maintenance of equipment.
  • Coordinates procurement of daily operational necessities, such as office supplies, warehouse consumables, and team meals.
