Job Summary 🔍

(Bilingual Japanese Skills Required)

The Producer will coordinate the production and release of game projects, ensuring timely delivery, adherence to budgets, and high-quality standards. With extensive experience managing cross-functional teams—including Localization, Marketing, QA, and Development—they will be a key driver of project success, especially focusing on Localization within a global context.

As an expert in production, the Producer will lead daily operations independently, orchestrating team efforts and aligning with strategic department goals. The ideal candidate combines excellent production expertise, leadership, knowledge of Japanese business practices and language, and a proven track record of delivering top-tier Localization in a worldwide setting.

Scope of Responsibilities 🌏

  • Manage assigned titles from concept through post-launch support, coordinating US, European, and Japanese teams.
  • Oversee budgeting, scheduling, and strategic planning aligned with company and product roadmaps.
  • Lead localization efforts, including consumer research and quality assurance.
  • Gather and interpret feedback, guiding teams to meet objectives effectively.
  • Participate in off-site events such as trade shows to showcase and promote projects, conduct interviews, and stage presentations.
  • Act as the communication hub, proactively engaging with Marketing, QA, and Executives to solve issues.
  • Maintain transparent, accurate project updates with external vendors, developers, and international colleagues.
  • Represent the Japanese developmental team internally and externally, fostering strong cross-cultural relationships.

Detailed Duties and Responsibilities 📋

In coordination with their manager, Producers will:

  • Serve as the central point for assets and information, resolving production blockers.
  • Create and implement departmental initiatives and company vision.
  • Negotiate schedules, budgets, and resources with internal teams and external partners.
  • Assess project scope by gathering and analyzing relevant information.
  • Develop resource plans, review proposals, and oversee publishing processes.
  • Guide project team members, review tasks, and ensure milestones are met.
  • Coordinate resource procurement based on project needs.
  • Engage with all project aspects, including communications, documentation, game text, and bug tracking.
  • Collaborate with marketing on external product promotion activities.
  • Oversee voice recording sessions and provide creative input during recordings.
  • Maintain accurate schedules and information sharing with all stakeholders.
  • Post-launch, compile and analyze product evaluation feedback and lessons learned.
  • Negotiate with external vendors and partners as necessary.
  • Participate in trade shows, demonstrating products and promoting projects via interviews and presentations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
