🎯 Your Role

As a Translator at Chess.com, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Translating user interfaces across all Chess.com apps (Chess.com, Chess.com Mobile, ChessKid, ChessKid Mobile, Dr. Wolf, etc.)
• Contributing to marketing campaigns translation
• Assisting with coach analysis translations
• Translating player profile pages, chess terminology, news articles (e.g., tournament recaps, important announcements)
• Translating and editing graphical assets
• Reviewing previous translations to ensure high quality and consistency

🧠 Skills & Qualifications

• Basic graphic editing skills
• Deep understanding of chess terminology and concepts
• Proven experience translating complex texts between English and Polish
• Exceptional linguistic knowledge, including strong grasp of language structure and theory
• Native or near-native fluency in both English and Polish
• Excellent communication skills, highly responsive, and adept at collaborating via platforms like Slack
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, sometimes with 24-48 hour turnaround, including weekends or holidays
• Flexible schedule, averaging around 30 hours per week
