Responsibilities

• Translate user interfaces across all Chess.com apps (Chess.com, Chess.com Mobile, ChessKid, ChessKid Mobile, Dr Wolf, etc.) 📱
• Localize marketing campaigns to reach global audiences 🌍
• Translate Coach analysis content 🎓
• Translate player profile pages, chess terminology, news articles (tournament recaps, announcements, etc.) 📰
• Edit and translate graphical assets for clarity and consistency 🎨
• Review previous translations to maintain high quality standards ✅

Skills & Qualifications

• Basic graphic editing skills 🖥️
• Deep understanding of chess terminology and expertise in the game ♟️
• Proven experience translating complex texts between English and Polish 🇬🇧🇵🇱
• Strong linguistic knowledge, including language structure and theory 📚
• Native or near-native fluency in both English and Polish 🗣️
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness, especially on collaborative platforms like Slack 💬
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, sometimes within 24-48 hours, including weekends or holidays ⏰
• Flexible availability, averaging around 30 hours per week 🕒
