Role Overview

As a Translator & Content Support Specialist, you'll play a crucial role in localizing our platform and content to enhance the experience for our Polish-speaking users. Your work will involve translating various app interfaces, marketing campaigns, analytical tools, player profiles, news articles, and graphical assets to ensure clarity, accuracy, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Translate user interfaces across all Chess.com apps (Chess.com, Chess.com Mobile, ChessKid, ChessKid Mobile, Dr. Wolf, etc.)
• Assist in translating marketing campaigns to reach a wider audience
• Support the translation of Coach analysis tools
• Localize player profile pages, chess terminology, news articles, tournament recaps, and important announcements
• Translate and edit graphical assets for clarity and consistency
• Review previously submitted translations to ensure high quality and accuracy

Skills & Qualifications

• Basic graphic editing skills 🖼️
• Strong expertise in chess with in-depth knowledge of its terminology ♟️
• Professional experience in translating complex texts between English and Polish
• Exceptional linguistic skills with a solid understanding of language structure and theory
• Native or near-native fluency in both English and Polish 🌍
• Excellent communication skills and responsiveness, experienced with collaborative platforms like Slack 💬
• Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines, sometimes within 24-48 hours — including weekends and holidays
• Flexible availability, averaging 30 hours per week
