✨ Job Description & Responsibilities

As a vital part of our team, you'll be responsible for collecting plasma safely and efficiently, ensuring donor satisfaction and adherence to industry standards.

Core Responsibilities:

• Plasma Collection: Perform venipuncture, monitor the pheresis process, and follow SOPs to collect plasma effectively.
• Procedure Compliance: Execute all aspects of pheresis, from donor setup to disconnect, adhering to SOPs and FDA guidelines.
• Donor Evaluation: Assess vein performance, make necessary adjustments, and ensure a positive donation experience.
• Donor Education: Inform and educate new donors about plasma therapy, screening, nutrition, fees, and policies.
• Reaction Management: Monitor donor reactions, assist when needed, and notify staff accordingly.
• Documentation & Data Entry: Use PDA devices to record incidents, machine alerts, and donor events accurately.
• Equipment & Safety: Perform calibrations, troubleshoot equipment, and ensure a safe, clean work environment.
• Sampling & Data Recording: Collect blood samples and maintain accurate records in electronic systems.
• Policy Adherence: Understand and follow policies related to hyperimmune programs and safety procedures.
• Cross-Training & Additional Duties: May be trained in other areas; bilingual skills may be required.

🔍 Qualifications

• Internal CSL employees must have completed CSL Plasma DST training.
• External candidates: minimum 6 months' experience as a phlebotomist; 1 year preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 12 months of experience in healthcare or related fields preferred.
• For centers in California: Certified Phlebotomy Technician I or current Registered Nurse certification.
• Other qualifications may apply based on local legal and educational requirements. Please refer to local documentation.
