Pharmacy Clerk - Bilingual (English & Spanish) 📢

🌟 Ideal Candidate
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish, fluent in both languages.
- Previous pharmacy technician experience is preferred; otherwise, at least 2-3 years of consistent customer service experience.
- Reliable transportation such as a personal vehicle or residing close to Kennett Square, PA.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 9 AM - 5 PM (pharmacy closed on weekends and most major holidays).
💰 Compensation
- Hourly rate of $20.00 - $22.00 for candidates with 2-5 years of pharmacy technician experience and bilingual skills.
- Hourly rate of $17.00 - $18.00 for candidates with 2-3 years of customer service experience, bilingual, but without prior pharmacy tech experience.
📝 Job Responsibilities
Perform non-judgmental, technical tasks in the pharmacy, including:
- Generating reports and maintaining pharmacy inventory.
- Assisting the pharmacist as necessary.
- Supporting pharmacy operations under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.
🔧 Essential Job Functions
- Assist customers at the register and make reminder calls to patients for medication pickup.
- Receive and unpack orders, verify against invoices, price medications, and ensure smooth stock flow.
- Keep detailed records of prescriptions filled and file prescriptions appropriately.
- Assist the pharmacist with counting, pouring, and labeling medications.
- Retrieve counseling information from the computer and attach it to prescriptions.
- Place inventory orders and maintain accurate stock levels.
- Maintain cleanliness within the pharmacy, including utensils and equipment.
- Run daily and monthly reports for pharmacy operations.
- Ensure stock is free of expired medications.
- Answer phone calls and refer pertinent questions to pharmacists.
- Enter prescription data into the computer system and generate labels.
- Transmit orders for medication replenishment.
- Support inventory management by entering invoices of medicines ordered.
- Conduct periodic inventory counts and prepare necessary reports.
- Process return of bags not picked up after 10 working days.
- Handle refill authorization requests and send refill requests.
- Deliver medications within the FHN service area utilizing a company vehicle.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
🛠 Skills and Certifications
- Fluent in both English and Spanish.
- Previous pharmacy technician experience preferred.
- 2-3 years of customer service experience required.
