Join Our Team as a Personal Banker (SAFE Act) – Bilingual English/Mandarin Preferred

Embark on an entry-level role at our Flushing Branch, where you'll help foster customer relationships, drive sales, and deliver exceptional service.

Position Overview

The Personal Banker SAFE Act is responsible for supporting sales, product, and service activities in partnership with the customer service team. The primary goal is to build customer loyalty and contribute to increasing sales among individual consumer clients.

Responsibilities 📝

• Assist with business credit requests under $250K, identify and refer larger lending opportunities, and cross-sell treasury and small business products.
• Generate referral opportunities through Centers of Influence (COIs) and the Member Get Member (MGM) Program.
• Support growth strategies for small business clients by implementing targeted sales plans.
• Engage with clients via outbound and inbound calls to acquire new relationships and strengthen existing ones through cross-selling relevant products and services, providing a remarkable client experience.
• Coach branch staff on products, special programs, client needs, and appropriate referrals.
• Identify transaction needs and educate clients on all service and digital channels, leveraging technology and marketing tools to uncover opportunities and present financial solutions.
• Maintain compliance by understanding Citibank policies, standards, and procedures.
• Assess risk appropriately, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and ethical standards, while escalating control issues when necessary.

Qualifications ✔️

• 0-2 years of relevant experience
• Previous banking, retail, or sales experience preferred
• Knowledge of Smart Banking tools and technology
• NMLS registration; SAFE Act compliant
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education 🎓

Bachelor's Degree, university degree, or equivalent experience.
