About This Role
Wells Fargo is actively seeking an Associate Personal Banker (SAFE) for our National Branch Network within the Consumer Banking and Lending division. Explore more about our career areas and business divisions at wellsfargojobs.com.
Key Responsibilities
- 🤝 Deliver an exceptional customer experience by building relationships through proactive outreach, recommending suitable products, services, and digital solutions to help customers thrive financially.
- 📝 Assist customers with basic requests, such as opening new accounts, completing service requests, and submitting credit applications.
- 🎯 Follow directions from managers while exercising judgment within established policies and procedures.
- 🔍 Develop a comprehensive understanding of bank products and services to address customer needs effectively.
- ❤️ Interact with customers to demonstrate care and foster strong relationships.
- 💡 Provide appropriate options for banking products and services tailored to each customer.
- 🤝 Refer customers' financial needs to other bankers and partners when necessary.
- This SAFE position involves customer contact and may include offering or negotiating terms and/or taking applications for dwelling-secured transactions. Compliance with the S.A.F.E. Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 and related regulations is mandatory. Ongoing employment depends on meeting all such requirements, including a favorable background investigation. Additionally, candidates must meet Loan Originator requirements under Regulation Z (LO).
Required Qualifications
- ✅ At least 6 months of interacting with customers, or equivalent experience through work, training, military service, or education.
- ✅ Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English, both speaking and listening.
Preferred Qualifications
- ✨ Strong customer service skills, with experience managing complex transactions across multiple systems.
- ✨ Proactive engagement with customers via phone or email outreach.
- ✨ Ability to educate customers about technology and mobile banking options, helping them succeed financially.
- ✨ Experience collaborating with others to meet customer needs and fostering strong customer relationships.
- ✨ Building solid relationships with internal partners.
- ✨ Adherence to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and security.
- ✨ Recognizing potential fraud or risky accounts and taking appropriate action to prevent loss.
- ✨ Interacting with integrity and professionalism with customers and team members.
- ✨ Relevant military experience, including working with protocol, personnel benefits management, or military operations.
- ✨ Skilled in sourcing, acquiring, maintaining, and strengthening relationships with customers and colleagues.
- ✨ Supporting customers and team members in resolving or escalating concerns or complaints.
Job Expectations
- ⌛ Flexibility to work on a schedule that may include most Saturdays.
- 🎯 Completion and passing of required language assessments.
- 💰 Maintain cash drawer, handle and balance cash, and complete service-related tasks as needed.
- 📝 The position requires SAFE registration at the start of employment—Wells Fargo will initiate this process immediately after your start date.
