About the Job: Persian Interpreter (Los Angeles)

Job Description

This is an independent contractor position offering flexible work hours and continued opportunities. The interpreter will mainly deliver professional interpreting services within healthcare environments. Assignments are based in Los Angeles, CA, with availability depending on demand for specific languages and the interpreter’s qualifications.

Qualifications

• Fluency in both Persian and English
• Proven experience providing accurate, complete, and clear interpretations in medical, legal, and community settings, maintaining high fidelity to the original message
• Strong oral interpretation skills between Persian and English, capable of working in both directions
• Ability to effectively collaborate with individuals from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds
• Expertise in addressing the communication needs of medical professionals, patients, government agencies, community organizations, and internal stakeholders
• Formal interpreter training and/or relevant professional experience
• Willingness to obtain necessary medical clearances, such as vaccination/immunization records and background checks
• Possession of a valid California interpreter license
