  • Locations: NYC, DC, PA, JFK Airport, and growing footprint (field-based role)

Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic People Manager to serve as a key partner to Area Operations Leadership and the primary HR business partner for our Shop teams across NYC, DC, PA, JFK locations, and our expanding footprint. This field-based role requires someone who thrives in a fast-paced retail environment and can provide hands-on HR support.

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
  • 3-5+ years of People Manager experience, preferably in quick service restaurant, retail, or multi-location hospitality environments
  • Extensive travel commitment (75-80%)
  • Self-starter comfortable making independent decisions in the field

Core Competencies

Employee Relations & Compliance

  • Proven experience managing employee relations in high-turnover, fast-paced environments
  • Conducting workplace investigations involving harassment, discrimination, and policy violations
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and local employment laws
  • Understanding of wage and hour compliance, including break and meal period requirements
  • Experience with union-related matters is a plus ✍️

Manager Development & Talent Pipeline Management

  • Experience in workforce planning, internal talent development, and external recruitment strategies
  • Coaching shop managers on people management, recruitment, interviewing, and retention programs
  • Training managers on discipline procedures, legal compliance, and proper documentation
  • Experience with union environments is preferred

Communication & Relationship Building

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills for connecting across diverse teams
  • bilingual capabilities (English/Spanish) strongly preferred 🌎
  • Comfortable working independently while maintaining strong partnerships with leadership
  • Building trust through site visits, hands-on support, and collaborative problem-solving
  • Primary liaison between Shops, Benefits, and Payroll for HR processes

HRIS & Data Management

  • Proficiency with HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now and Harri
  • Training and coaching Shop Managers on data entry and HRIS processes
  • Generating reports to support HR and leadership decision-making
  • Ensuring accurate and consistent data across all locations
