About the Role: Payments Operations Specialist

As a Payments Operations Specialist at Agora, you will gain practical experience in the movement of money behind the scenes. Your core responsibilities include supporting client onboarding, monitoring payment flows, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure smooth, accurate, and compliant operations. This hands-on role provides a clear path for growth into more strategic and client-facing positions.

What Your Day Looks Like 💼

  • Support payment approvals, verifications, and checklist-based controls
  • Monitor domestic and international transactions, flagging anomalies
  • Assist in processing and verifying payment approvals according to policies
  • Serve as the payments expert for Support and Customer Success teams
  • Participate in client calls for operational clarifications
  • Document payment issues and resolutions clearly
  • Maintain accurate internal records and dashboards
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve issues promptly and meet SLAs
  • Contribute to process automation and cross-team projects
  • Investigate exceptions and coordinate resolutions

Requirements

Must-Haves

  • Strong attention to detail and a process-oriented mindset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced, tech-driven environment
  • Curiosity, ownership, and a willingness to learn
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets

Nice to Have

  • Experience with CRMs or project-tracking tools (e.g., Monday.com)
  • Exposure to payments, banking, compliance, or customer support

Compensation 💰

Salary range: $60,000–$75,000. Base salaries are determined by skills, experience, and local market benchmarks. Applications outside this range are encouraged if expectations align.
