Endeavor Health Is Hiring A Patient Service Representative & Insurance Verifier - Therapy & Rehab

Hourly Pay Range 💰
$19.89 - $28.84 — The hourly pay rate is influenced by a candidate's expertise, years of experience, and other related factors.
Position Highlights 🏥
- Position: Patient Service Rep / Insurance Verification
- Locations: 4201 Winfield Road, Warrenville, IL, and 1200 S. York St., Elmhurst, IL
- Schedule: Per Diem/PRN
- Work Hours:
- 2 days a week at Endeavor Health Warrenville Call Center (Monday and Friday, 8:00 am - 4:30 pm)
- Starting in October, 2 Saturdays/month at Elmhurst Center for Health (7:00 am - 12:00 pm or 8:00 am - 1:00 pm)
- Nice to have: availability on the first of each month
- Training Schedule: 2-3 weeks, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 am - 3:00 pm (schedule may vary)
What You Will Do 📝
Under general supervision and following established policies, you will handle pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection, and medical information systems. Your responsibilities include collecting, analyzing, and recording demographic, insurance, financial, and clinical data from multiple sources, as well as obtaining signatures and additional information necessary for these processes.
You will screen for third-party eligibility, enter medical necessity coding to ensure proper payment, and ensure patients and their families understand the revenue cycle and available payment options. Your role includes contacting third-party payers for verification of benefits, managing pre-certification requirements, and coordinating with physician offices on financial, coding, surgical scheduling, and insurance benefits compliance.
What You Will Need 🛠️
- Education: High School Diploma or GED
- Experience: At least 1 year in registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections, or customer service within healthcare. Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology, anatomy, data entry, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Preferred Skills: Bilingual abilities
- Travel: Able to work 2 days/week at Warrenville location and 2 Saturdays/month at Elmhurst site
