Position Summary 🩺

The Patient Service Representative (PSR) is integral to our health care team, responsible for welcoming and assisting patients and families, verifying information, scheduling appointments, and ensuring a comforting experience throughout their visit. The role requires clear communication, empathy, and excellent organizational skills to manage patient interactions and administrative tasks efficiently.

Minimum Qualifications ✅

• High School Diploma required
• 1-2 years experience in clerical or administrative functions, preferably in a healthcare setting
• Bilingual Spanish/English essential
• Excellent communication skills to deliver outstanding patient experiences
• Knowledge of phone etiquette and standard office procedures
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment

Key Duties 📝

• Greet patients and identify their needs 🤝
• Verify insurance information via managed care website 💻
• Respond to incoming calls and relay messages to providers 📞
• Register patients, update demographic details, and assign PCPs when applicable
• Schedule and reschedule appointments 📅
• Maintain charts and support administrative functions within the department 🗂️

Work Environment & Schedule 🕗

This onsite role is based in the Bronx with the following schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
