Job Overview

Position: Patient Registration Associate

Under moderate supervision, the Patient Registration Associate performs patient and/or specimen registration. Serving as the frontline representative of the department or laboratory, this role acts as a vital resource for patients and their families. 🌟

This position is primarily assigned to the Central Registration location but also covers satellite Patient Access areas, including:

• Rehab
• Outpatient Behavioral Health (Outpt BH)
• Infusion Center
• Laboratory
• Imaging

Additionally, the role includes Telemedicine registration functions. The associate is responsible for:

• Accurate registration of scheduled and unscheduled outpatients and admissions
• Collecting demographic and insurance information
• Verifying or re-verifying insurance eligibility and benefits
• Collecting patient balances due as appropriate

This role also plays a key part in the OR and Cath Lab areas, ensuring seamless patient registration processes. 🏥

Qualifications & Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent 🎓
• 1 to 3 years of relevant experience
• Basic computer skills including:
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Cerner and Synquest systems
• Standard office equipment
• Medical terminology
• Medical equipment knowledge
• MedicPac software
