Patient Registrar – Russian Fluency

📍 Location & Position Details

• Location: Brooklyn, NY
• Position Type: Full-Time Contract
• Schedule: Onsite; Monday–Friday, 8:30AM–5PM
• Compensation: $23–$26/hr
• Work Arrangement: Local/Onsite Only

🩺 Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Patient Registrar fluent in Russian to support patient registration, appointment scheduling, payment reconciliation, and documentation. Your role will be vital in creating a smooth and welcoming experience for patients and their families.

🔑 Key Responsibilities

• 🤝 Greet and assist patients, visitors, vendors, and staff
• 📝 Register patients and complete check-in procedures in the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system
• 📅 Schedule, confirm, and update appointments according to practice guidelines
• 📋 Obtain and verify demographic and billing information for patient records
• ☎️ Answer telephone calls, respond to inquiries, schedule or change appointments, and direct callers as needed
• 💵 Process payments (cash, check, or credit card), reconcile daily batches, and prepare receipts
• 🖼️ Scan insurance cards, photo IDs, and other required documents to comply with policy
• 🤝 Collaborate with billing staff for insurance verification and authorizations when necessary
• 🚗 Arrange patient transportation as needed, following established procedures
• 📂 Provide clerical support such as sorting mail and preparing routine documents and forms

🎓 Qualifications

• 🔹 High school diploma or GED required
• 🔹 One year of clerical experience in primary care or multispecialty medical office required
• 🔹 Experience with Epic EHR system preferred
• 🔹 Pediatric office experience is a plus
• 🔹 Proven customer service skills and strong attention to detail
• 🔹 Ability to work efficiently and handle multiple tasks
• 🔹 Fluency in both English and Russian (verbal and written) required
• 🔹 Comfortable working onsite and engaging directly with patients and staff
