Patient Coordinator – Medical Interpreter – Global Patient Services (Arabic Speaking)

About the Role

As a Patient Coordinator and Medical Interpreter, your primary focus will be to assist our global patients and their families by offering personalized support and seamless coordination of their entire care journey. This includes managing referral processes, medical records, service arrangements, and follow-up communications, even after patients return home. 🤝🌟

You will collaborate closely with faculty physicians from Cornell and Columbia medical schools, as well as hospital physicians, serving as a vital liaison to embassies to ensure smooth financial and administrative processes.

This is a day shift position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration or Marketing

Required Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a patient services environment within a medical center, physician's office, or healthcare setting
• Proof of at least 40 hours of professional training in Medical Interpretation from an approved program, which can be demonstrated through:
  • Certificate of completion from an approved continuing education program, or
  • Completion of an approved nationally recognized language proficiency assessment, or
  • Certification from the National Board of Certification for Medical Interpreters or the Certification Commission for Healthcare Interpreters
• Excellent communication and presentation skills for effective cross-cultural interactions
• Fluency in English and Arabic
• Proficiency with Windows-based software

Salary Range: $34.10 - $50.77 per hour
