Hourly Pay Range 💵
$19.89 - $28.84 — The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

What You Will Need 🛠️
Education 🎓
- High School diploma or GED
- Associate degree in business or healthcare (Preferred)
License 📝
- A valid driver’s license is required if the incumbent is selected to perform related duties at an off-site location.
- If personal vehicle use is involved, the incumbent must maintain automobile liability coverage as required by law, with evidence of such coverage potentially requested.
Experience & Skills (Preferred) 🌟
- Manual dexterity to operate various office machines
- Minimum one to two years of registration, scheduling, patient accounts, cash collections, or customer service experience in a healthcare setting
- Knowledge of health insurances, medical terminology, and anatomy
- Strong data entry and keyboarding skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Bilingual skills (preferred)
What You Will Do 🏥
Under general supervision and following established policies and procedures, you will:
- Provide timely and accurate pre-registrations, registrations, order management, charge capture, cash collection, and medical information system functions for in-patient, out-patient, emergency room, immediate care, and same-day surgery patients.
- Collect, analyze, and record demographic, insurance/financial, and clinical data from multiple sources.
- Obtain necessary signatures and information to ensure smooth registration processes.
- Screen for third-party eligibility and enter medical necessity coding to ensure accurate payment.
- Interact in a customer-focused manner, addressing the needs of patients and their families, and explaining hospital revenue cycle expectations, including payment options for personal liabilities.
