📋 Job Summary: Airline Customer Service - Part Time - Bilingual (French or European Languages) - LAX

What You'll Do

The Passenger Service Agent handles multiple airport and passenger service functions, including:

  • Making reservations, issuing tickets, and preparing itineraries
  • Computing fares and issuing refunds
  • Checking baggage and collecting excess baggage charges
  • Providing travel information to passengers
  • Meeting aircraft at gate or loading area
  • Assisting passengers during boarding and deplaning
  • Validating tickets, handling lost and found activities, and processing baggage claims
  • Receiving and preparing airfreight shipments, establishing routing, computing rates, and maintaining shipment records
  • Performing other related duties as directed by management

Security & Safety Responsibilities

Remain vigilant regarding staff, contractors, and visitors’ activities, report security breaches, suspicious activity, or non-compliance to management or via the WFS whistleblower program.

💵 Salary

$22.50 per hour

  • Wearing the prescribed uniform and insignia
  • Maintaining a professional appearance and grooming
  • Giving clear directions and information to passengers
  • Handling repetitive questions with friendliness and professionalism

🎓 Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Proficiency in computer skills
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Fluent reading, writing, speaking, and understanding of English

🌍 Preferred Skills

  • Multilingual abilities (e.g., Dutch, French, Eastern European languages, German, Italian, Danish, Swedish) are a plus
  • Demonstrates leadership, initiative, and sound judgment

💪 Physical Requirements & Working Conditions

  • Ability to lift up to 70 lbs (31.9 kg)
  • Stand and walk for an entire 8-hour shift
  • Twist, turn, stoop, bend, reach, and grip during baggage checks
