What You'll Be Doing 📝

This role involves performing skilled consecutive, first-person interpretation. Work is conducted under direct supervision, following well-defined policies and procedures. Opportunities for independent judgment are limited, with most non-routine issues referred to a supervisor. This description applies across all languages spoken in the Interpreter classification.

Essential Functions (Major Duties & Responsibilities) 🎯

• Provide meaning-for-meaning interpreting, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
• Follow CyraCom's interpreter protocols, policies, and procedures as trained.
• Maintain confidentiality in accordance with CyraCom policies and interpreter ethics.
• Attend all required training offered by the CyraCom Quality and Development Department.
• Continuously improve vocabulary and specialized knowledge (medical, legal, social services, etc.).
• Utilize standard office equipment such as telephones, computers, copiers, and faxes.
• Proficiently use MS Office applications including Outlook, Word, and web browsers like Edge.
• Demonstrate professional attendance by being predictable, reliable, and timely.
• Follow directions and complete tasks within scheduled timelines.
• Communicate effectively in person, by phone, and in written English and target language.
• Learn actively from instructions, observations, and feedback.
• Work independently or as part of a team, maintaining appropriate interactions with colleagues, supervisors, and clients.

Qualifications ✅

• Must be **18 years or older**
• Authorized to work in the US
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Proficient in English and at least one other language, verified through our Language Checkup assessment
