We are seeking a dedicated Part-Time Spanish Bilingual Legal Assistant to support our team in litigating wage, hour, and employment discrimination claims. If you are organized, proactive, and fluent in Spanish and English, we want to hear from you!

📝 Duties and Responsibilities

• Screen telephone calls and greet guests with professionalism
• Perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks, including:
• Answering telephones 📞
• Scheduling appointments 📅
• Updating case files 🗃️
• Preparing spreadsheets 📊
• Maintaining calendars 📆
• Organizing documents and preparing exhibit notebooks and binders 🗂️
• Receiving and sorting daily mail and deliveries 📬
• Obtaining information from new and potential clients
• Responding to inquiries about case statuses and other matters 💬
• Operating office equipment such as computers, printers, scanners, etc. 🖥️
• Maintaining break room and common areas, including cleaning appliances 🧽
• Making deliveries and running errands outside the office 🚗
• Organizing and maintaining the file room, including lifting heavy file boxes 📦
• Performing other tasks related to firm operations as assigned
• Providing simultaneous Spanish-English interpretation between attorneys, staff, and clients 🌐

🕘 Office Hours

Monday to Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

🛠️ Work Schedule

Part-time position with a minimum of 15 hours a week.

• Ability to move and lift file boxes weighing up to 25 pounds overhead

🎓 Education & Experience

• High school diploma required; enrollment in a bachelor’s or associate degree program strongly preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization abilities
• Proactive and resourceful mindset

🔐 Special Requirements

• Ability to be covered by a fidelity bond
• Successful pass of criminal background check and/or fingerprinting

💲 Compensation & Benefits

• Hourly pay range: $17.00 - $20.00, based on experience
• Potential for overtime if transitioned to full-time
• Up to 2 weeks paid time off for full-time employees (when eligible)
• Participation in 401(k) plan with employer match (when eligible)
