Job Description

• Be available to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and varied shifts. 🗓️
• Ensure adherence to Franchise and Shaner Brand Standards to provide a consistent guest experience.
• Follow all policies of the facility, Franchise, and Shaner policies.
• Perform massage and body services that meet established guidelines and fulfill guest expectations.
• Perform all treatments from the services menu based on current licensure.
• Assess contraindications that may prevent services from being provided.
• Consistently meet guest needs throughout the service.
• Understand and implement universal precautions when providing treatments.
• Clean and disinfect all equipment after use.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of all spa services offered, including product ingredients and their benefits.
• Recommend products for home use and suggest other beneficial treatments offered in the spa.
• Ensure work areas are clean and set according to procedures.
• Inform Lead Therapist and Spa Director or management of product needs.
• Create and maintain client cards and treatment notes, when appropriate.
• Perform other duties as assigned. 🧖‍♀️

Responsibilities

The Massage Therapist is responsible for providing relaxing massages and other body treatments, creating a calming environment that leaves a lasting impression on guests.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid state license in massage therapy or other required credentials.
• Minimum one year of customer service experience; previous spa experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of professional spa services and treatments is a plus.
• Previous experience in massage and body work.
• Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with guests, management, and coworkers.
• Ability to build rapport with guests.
• Ability to explain various treatments and services clearly.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
• Strong customer service skills and work ethic.
• Efficient, organized, and capable of handling multiple duties simultaneously.
• Energetic, enthusiastic, and motivating personality.
• Professional appearance, manner, and discretion.
• Team player with a strong collaborative spirit.
