Requirements
- Language: Full proficiency in Vietnamese and English (bilingual). Capable of assisting and translating for Vietnamese-speaking customers.
- Mindset: Goal-oriented with a focus on service standards and efficiency.
- Food Safety: Knowledge of proper food handling and sanitation procedures.
- Punctuality: Reliable with a consistent record of arriving on time for all scheduled shifts.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to frequently lift and move supplies or equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, ensuring high-quality presentation.
- Handle food with strict safety and sanitation procedures, maintaining a clean kitchen environment.
- Serve customers efficiently at the cashier station, providing friendly and professional service in both English and Vietnamese.
- Manage cash register operations, accurately processing transactions and handling payments.
- Maintain inventory levels of ingredients and notify management of stock needs.
- Support kitchen staff during busy periods with food prep or serving as needed.
- Perform deep cleaning of the kitchen, equipment, and prep areas after business hours to meet health and safety standards.
Experience & Skills
- Previous experience in a food service environment (restaurant, catering, or culinary) is preferred.
- Experience in cashiering or waiting tables.
- Proven ability to provide customer support or translation services in Vietnamese.
- Proficiency in cooking techniques, knife skills, and meal preparation.
- Knowledge of dining standards and restaurant operations.
Employment Details
Type of Employment: At-will employment — either party can terminate at any time, with or without cause or notice.
Pay: $16.90 per hour
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree preferred
- Experience: At least 1 year in customer service and 1 year in cooking (required)
- Languages: Vietnamese (required)
