Responsibilities
- Provide quality customer service to patients and parents during check-in and check-out.
- Verify patient insurance eligibility and service limits, ensuring accuracy in patient records.
- Greet parents and patients courteously when they arrive and depart.
- Keep parents informed of their child's appointment progress while they wait.
- Maintain a clean, organized waiting area and front desk.
- Prepare patient files—update records, verify insurance, and confirm service limits before appointments.
- Coordinate with the Clinical Team Leader and Doctors to facilitate same-day care when appropriate.
- Assist in meeting office financial goals by scheduling hygiene and operative appointments.
- Schedule follow-up and six-month recall appointments for patients.
- Answer calls promptly, direct calls to the appropriate team members, and take messages as needed.
- Make outbound calls to confirm, reschedule, or follow up on pending treatments for patients.
- Re-file patient records at the end of each day to ensure organized documentation.
- Uphold the highest standards of integrity by complying with regulations and company policies.
- Verify and collect any out-of-pocket balances prior to treatment.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the team’s success.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Previous office experience, preferably in a dental or medical practice.
- Experience working with children's dentistry is a plus.
