A reputable partner of The Mom Project in the automotive industry is seeking a Contract Paralegal to support their legal team and business operations. πβοΈ
Position: Contract Paralegal
As a Paralegal, you will assist lawyers by conducting legal research, preparing vital documents, and supporting legal proceedings to ensure smooth legal operations within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Draft and prepare: correspondence and legal papers such as summonses, complaints, motions, responses, and subpoenas under supervision.
- Conduct legal research: review legal journals and assist attorneys with case investigations.
- Support legal submissions: aid new lawyers in preparing documents for court filing.
- Gather information: collect employment, medical, and other records as needed.
- Attend legal meetings: participate in client interviews, hearings, depositions, and take detailed notes.
- Organize legal materials: manage law libraries, documents, and case files efficiently.
- Prepare legal documents: handle summonses, subpoenas, complaints, appeals, motions, and pretrial agreements.
Skills and Qualifications
- Language: Must be bilingual in Spanish.
- Education: Associate's degree in paralegal studies or equivalent training required.
- Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience.
- Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication, attention to detail, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability: Work independently, manage time efficiently, and understand legal concepts, codes, and procedures.
- Technical Skills: Experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Hours & Location
- Monday - Friday, 40 hours/week
- 100% remote location within the US π‘πΊπΈ
