Job Title: Operations Specialist
Summary: Responsible for clerical, administrative, customer service, and coordination activities to support care management and member services, including order processing, member interactions, and communication with care teams.
Responsibilities & Essential Functions 💼
- Greet patients, visitors, and customers immediately, creating a welcoming environment.
- Smile 😊 and introduce yourself when appropriate to foster a friendly atmosphere.
- Maintain professionalism by being courteous, respectful, and helpful to all.
- Convey a positive attitude through friendliness, kindness, and genuine interest in assisting others.
- Offer assistance proactively to those in need.
- Listen attentively to customers' requests and concerns, responding promptly.
- Practice proper elevator and telephone etiquette 📞.
- Wear your identification badge correctly at all times.
- Contribute to effective teamwork and maintain cooperative relationships with supervisors, colleagues, residents, and visitors.
- Accept and incorporate constructive criticism to improve performance.
- Maintain a professional appearance and attitude at all times.
- Handle conflicts professionally and utilize established communication channels.
- Recognize limitations and seek assistance when necessary.
- Promote harmonious relationships among departments.
- Adhere to the organization's email etiquette standards.
- Perform any other job-related duties as requested.
Education & Experience 🎓
- High School diploma or GED required, some college/business school preferred.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish, Russian, or Chinese required.
- Familiarity with healthcare environment (Medicaid/Medicare) preferred.
- Experience in medical billing or terminology and working with healthcare professionals is a plus.
Competencies, Knowledge & Skills 🧠
- Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid regulations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Understanding of federal, state, local, and regulatory requirements.
- Ability to adapt procedures to meet age-specific and cultural needs of geriatric members.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Licensure & Working Conditions 🧾
No specific licensure required. The role entails a general office environment, with possible extended periods of sitting or standing. Travel is typically not required.
Background Check 🔍
Employment contingent upon successful criminal background clearance. Unacceptable results will result in withdrawal or termination of employment.
Compensation & Benefits 💰
Range: $41,200 - $66,000 annually. Compensation considers education, experience, and role complexity. Opportunities for bonuses based on performance. We offer a comprehensive total rewards package.
