Tauzer Apiaries, a second-generation commercial beekeeping operation in Woodland, CA, is seeking a Bilingual Operations Integrator to coordinate field operations, enhance communication across crews, and support a leadership transition. Serving as a vital bridge between ownership, leadership, and Spanish-speaking staff, this role ensures plans are executed effectively and information flows smoothly both ways.
This position is designed for growth, with mentorship from senior leadership and opportunities to increase operational responsibilities over time. The ideal candidate is organized, proactive, culturally fluent, and adaptable to the fast-paced agricultural environment where priorities can shift quickly.
🌟 Leadership Growth & Authority
This role aims to evolve into a senior field leadership position. During a structured transition, the Operations Integrator will collaborate closely with the Field Operations Director and Operations Assistant to learn decision-making processes, operational priorities, and crew coordination practices. Over time, they will assume greater ownership of planning, coordination, and problem-solving tasks across teams.
🔑 Key Responsibilities
1. Bilingual Communication & Coordination
- Serve as the primary bilingual liaison between ownership, field leadership, and Spanish-speaking employees
- Translate and relay daily work plans, schedules, expectations, and company communications (English ⇄ Spanish)
- Participate in field check-ins and meetings to clarify goals, timelines, and safety protocols
- Translate written communications such as messages, forms, policies, and notices, ensuring meaning and accuracy
2. Operational Integration & Follow-Through
- Coordinate and support daily and weekly work planning—yard moves, crew assignments, logistics
- Monitor field execution, track progress, and address issues like delays or conflicts early
- Use sound judgment to prioritize issues, resolve routine coordination challenges, and escalate risks appropriately
- Contribute to standardizing communication tools (e.g., WhatsApp groups, digital checklists, shared schedules)
- Maintain operational records such as time logs, equipment inventories, and vehicle logs
3. Leadership & Executive Support
- Assist ownership and leadership with scheduling, documentation, follow-up, and task management
- Support onboarding of new employees, including bilingual orientation and HR documentation
- Help ensure compliance with worker hours, safety protocols, and agricultural programs (like FSA)
- Coordinate with vendors, agencies, or internal teams to keep operations on track
4. Culture, Accountability & Team Engagement
- Promote a respectful, communicative, and accountable workplace culture
- Participate in weekly tailgates, field visits, and company meetings
- Ensure effective two-way communication—leadership to field and field back to leadership—to make well-informed decisions
- Build trust with crew members while upholding company standards and expectations
🎯 Qualifications
Required
- Full fluency in both Spanish and English (speaking, reading, writing)
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills across cultures and roles
- Strong organizational skills with reliable follow-through
- Comfort with smartphones, Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive), and messaging platforms like WhatsApp
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to visit field locations regularly
- Honey bee allergy? Not allowed.
Preferred
- Experience in agriculture, construction, logistics, or related field operations
- Prior experience as an operations coordinator, administrative support, supervisor, or bilingual role
- Enjoy working outdoors in varying conditions alongside field crews
- Interest in evolving into a leadership role with greater responsibilities
