Urdu Interpreter Opportunity

Language Services Associates (LSA) is currently seeking qualified Urdu interpreters in the Richmond, VA area. As part of our network of Independent Contracted Interpreters, you will play a vital role in facilitating communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community across various settings, including medical, legal, and customer service environments. We are continuously accepting applications for a wide range of interpreting assignments! 🚀

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service
• Adhere to the Code of Professional Conduct, including maintaining strict standards of confidentiality 🔒
• Follow all policies and procedures, including professional interpretation protocols and industry-specific best practices
• Complete training(s) and participate in ongoing Quality Assurance monitoring

Qualifications & Experience

• Full fluency in both English and Urdu
• Familiarity with industry standard best practices (e.g., professionalism, courtesy, protocol, and confidentiality)
• Ability to deliver high-quality client service
• Access to personal or public transport
• 2+ years of professional interpreting experience preferred
• Industry-specific certifications/trainings preferred (e.g., CMI, CCHI, etc.)
