About the Opportunity

Language Services Associates (LSA) is actively seeking qualified Cantonese interpreters to join our network in Jacksonville, FL. As an independent contractor with LSA, you'll facilitate communication for the Limited English Proficient (LEP) community across various environments such as medical, legal, and customer service settings. We are continuously accepting applications from skilled interpreters for a wide range of assignments! 🎉

Responsibilities

• Provide superior customer service to clients and stakeholders
• Maintain confidentiality by adhering to the Code of Professional Conduct
• Follow policies and procedures, including interpretation protocols and industry standards
• Complete required training and participate in ongoing Quality Assurance activities

Qualifications & Experience

• Fluent bilingual skills in English and Cantonese
• Knowledge of industry best practices such as professionalism, courtesy, protocol, and confidentiality
• Strong client service skills and a commitment to excellence
• Reliable transportation—personal or public transit preferred
• At least 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (preferred)
• Industry certifications or trainings such as CMI, CCHI, etc. (preferred)
