Position Overview
This position supports the Clinical Services/Center Based Services at Baltimore County Health Centers. Non-Merit roles are outside the County's Classification and Compensation Plan but provide essential services to the community.
Eligible applicants will be selected based on examination results. Positions may be filled from the list of qualified candidates for current and future vacancies across Baltimore County departments.

Examples of Duties 🎯
- Perform word processing, typing, and clerical support in an office environment.
- Create, proofread, and distribute correspondence, memos, and forms.
- Set up and maintain office databases, logs, and confidential records.
- Schedule medical appointments and communicate with clients.
- Greet and assist clients and visitors at health centers.
- Operate multi-line phones, arrange interpreter services, and handle office communication.
- Extract information, prepare reports, and manage files for confidentiality and efficiency.
- Open, distribute, and track incoming mail and correspondence.
- Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, and prepare agendas/minutes.
- Assist with personnel documents, payroll, and leave tracking.
- Operate standard office machinery including computers, copiers, and scanners.
Additional Duties 📝
- Maintain financial and statistical records.
- Order supplies, prepare purchase orders, and reconcile accounts.
- Perform other related responsibilities as needed.
Qualifications ✅
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- One year of typing, word processing, or secretarial experience.
- Additional experience or education may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
