🔍 Role Overview
The NJ Get Covered Navigator (Bilingual/Spanish) plays a key role in assisting residents of Hudson County in obtaining health insurance. This position involves guiding individuals through the enrollment process, providing education, and supporting outreach initiatives to ensure community access to healthcare coverage.
✨ Key Responsibilities
- Educate and assist individuals in understanding health insurance options, benefits, and available financial assistance through NJ Get Covered.
- Guide clients through the application process and follow up to confirm coverage is secured.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
- Assist with Medicaid eligibility assessments and applications.
- Stay informed on NJ Get Covered policies and health insurance advancements.
- Conduct community outreach and offer personalized support via phone, email, and in-person interactions.
- Record keeping of client interactions and progress to ensure accurate tracking.
🎓 Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree in health or social services preferred.
- Experience in customer service, healthcare, or community outreach.
- Knowledge of ACA, NJ Get Covered, and health insurance terminology is a plus.
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Bilingual (Spanish) required.
