Mobile Network Test Engineer (Korean Bilingual) – AO7167405

General Position Purpose

This role encompasses a wide array of activities aimed at solving complex application issues, system administration challenges, or network concerns. You will work with testing mobile phones featuring the latest telecommunication technologies, conducting connectivity and lab tests, and performing system management and integration functions.

Essential Functions

• Verify network and software stability and portability
• Document project information through detailed technical reports
• Perform hardware and software maintenance, including upgrades
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for systems
• Conduct lab testing based on 3GPP standards such as GSM, EDGE, WCDMA, HSPA, and LTE, focusing on mobility and stationary RF test cases
• Research, test, and verify software patches for proper functionality
• Analyze issues by reviewing logs and issue history; develop test plans and configure lab environments accordingly
• Confirm issues are resolved or persistent; prepare professional reports and coordinate with design and QA teams
• Log and interpret data, generating reports and facilitating communication
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Travel may be required up to 15% of the time

Education & Technology Skills Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Software Engineering, Communication, Computer Networks, Electrical Engineering, or Telecommunications preferred
• Understanding of telecommunication concepts and Android platforms
• Proficiency in data mining, database management, and analytical software
• Experience with cloud management and communication server software
• Strong knowledge of LTE, HSPA+/WCDMA, PHY/MAC layers, and signaling processes
• Familiarity with GSM, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA, CDMA, HSPA, LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, and mobile network configuration
• Experience analyzing logs and troubleshooting LTE/UMTS/GSM issues with tools like QxDM, QPST, XCAL, XCAP
• Understanding of transport layer protocols (TCP, UDP) and analysis tools like Wireshark
• Proficiency in MS Office applications for report creation
• Knowledge of wireless technologies and network protocols (TCP/UDP, IP, OSI model)
• Solid grasp of software testing methodologies
• Experience with security software and network monitoring tools
