Join SOLFL and be part of a transformative educational movement that nurtures the next generation of impact entrepreneurs through immersive, interdisciplinar education. ✨
Job Description
About SOLFL
🌱 SOLFL is a pioneering movement in conscious education dedicated to cultivating intellectual, emotional, and spiritual intelligence. Our flagship school, SOLFL עץ חיים, is a K-12 Miami Torah Earth School offering a rigorous, multi-disciplinary curriculum. We combine hands-on, experiential learning with entrepreneurship, ecology, creative expression, and spiritual practice. Our mission is to shift children away from traditional classrooms, desks, and screens, into meaningful real-world experiences. This is an IRL (in real life) school designed to develop the impact entrepreneurs of tomorrow.
About the Role
We are looking for a passionate K–12 Hebrew Educator with extensive experience in designing and leading a cohesive Hebrew program across all grade levels—from early childhood to high school. This senior role requires a deep understanding of developmental progression and the ability to craft a vertically aligned language journey: from initial exposure to fluency, and from sound and rhythm to text, interpretation, and expression.
You won’t just teach—you will architect the Hebrew experience at SOLFL. 🚀
Core Responsibilities
Program Design & Vertical Alignment
- Design and lead a comprehensive Hebrew curriculum covering early childhood through high school.
- Ensure clear progression: oral language → literacy → fluency → textual and cultural depth.
- Build systems for assessing growth while fostering a genuine love for the language.
Advanced Instruction Across Age Groups
- Teach across divisions as needed, between middle and high school Hebrew.
- Guide younger students through immersive, play-based language acquisition.
- Lead older students in reading, writing, conversation, and engagement with texts and ideas.
Cultural, Historical & Textual Depth
- Integrate Jewish culture, history, and values into Hebrew learning in an age-appropriate manner.
- Introduce older students to meaningful texts, interpretation, and discussion.
- Position Hebrew as a lens for exploring identity, community, and worldview.
Experiential & Integrated Learning
- Incorporate Hebrew into school rituals, music, gatherings, and interdisciplinary projects.
- Collaborate with humanities, arts, and music educators to weave Hebrew into broader themes.
- Design projects, performances, or exhibitions that actively express Hebrew language.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Serve as the lead voice for Hebrew within the school community.
- Mentor other educators or assistants supporting Hebrew programs.
- Work closely with school leadership to continuously evolve and improve the program.
Qualifications
- Native or near-native fluency in Hebrew (spoken, reading, and writing).
- Significant teaching experience across multiple grade levels (K–12 preferred).
- Proven ability to design curriculum, scope, and sequence tailored to different ages.
- Deep knowledge of Jewish culture, traditions, and texts.
- Experience with immersive, student-centered, and project-based learning environments.
- Strong classroom leadership skills, capable of engaging both young children and adolescents.
Who You Are
- You understand how a 5-year-old learner develops into a fluent, expressive teen. 🧠
- You’re comfortable teaching aleph-bet through song and guiding nuanced discussions with high school students.
- You bring both rigor and joy to language learning. 😊
- You value meaning, identity, and depth—beyond vocabulary and grammar.
- You are excited to build and lead innovative programs, not just deliver pre-set curricula.
Why Join SOLFL
- Lead and shape a comprehensive K–12 Hebrew program from the ground up.
- Be part of a deeply intentional, interdisciplinary learning environment.
- Collaborate with educators who are redefining the future of education.
- Teach in a way that honors both tradition and innovation. 🚀
