Job Summary 📝
As a Passenger Service Agent, you will provide comprehensive customer services including reservations, ticketing, baggage processing, terminal check-in, VIP handling, and customer complaint resolution. This role is vital in ensuring smooth airport operations and exceptional passenger experiences.
The expected pay rate is $21.91/hr.
Your Activities 🎯
- Inspect and verify passenger documentation
- Issue boarding passes and reschedule passengers affected by flight disruptions or cancellations
- Manage passenger baggage processing, including handling and fee calculation when applicable
- Assist passengers during arrival and check-in, supporting those with special needs such as unaccompanied minors (UM), VIPs, and wheelchair assistance
- Guide passengers through Customs, Immigration, and Quarantine procedures as required
- Make public address announcements as needed
- Support Ramp Service Agents to ensure wheelchairs, strollers, and gate-checked bags are available for departure and arrival
- Ensure compliance with all security protocols set by federal, state, municipal, airport authority, and Swissport SOPs and policies
- Operate equipment such as jet ways, reservation/ticketing computers, and other relevant tools
- Prepare and produce all necessary work-related documentation
- Perform other duties as assigned
Your Profile 🌟
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
- Passion for customer service with relevant work experience
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the country-specific language
- Knowledge of additional languages is desirable
- Commitment to continuous improvement
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently
- Attentive to detail and numerate
- Ability to follow processes and adapt flexibly when needed
- Proficient in typing and learning airline-specific reservation and ticketing software
- Willingness to work in inclement weather conditions
