Who We're Looking For

We are seeking part-time, Hindi-speaking mental health experts with experience in:

• Severe mental health conditions (e.g., PTSD, BPD, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, suicidality) 🧠
• Settings such as inpatient, private practice, or community mental health
• Working with diverse populations (e.g., youth, LGBTQ+, people with disabilities, people of color) 🌍

Role Overview

You will collaborate on confidential initiatives centered on AI safety and mental health policy for large language models (LLMs). Your responsibilities include role-playing clinical scenarios, red teaming, identifying behavioral edge cases, and supporting accurate detection and response to psychological distress.

Key Responsibilities

• Designing and testing AI chat scenarios 🤖
• Conducting qualitative conversation analysis
• Developing behavioral taxonomies, personas, and evaluation rubrics
• Providing expert feedback on internal mental health policies
• Collaborating with engineers and researchers on safety metrics
• Documenting edge cases and model failures
• Supporting testing and fine-tuning through structured scenarios
• Maintaining strict confidentiality and QA standards 🔒
• Participating in interdisciplinary review sessions

What We're Looking For

Successful candidates are proactive, reliable, communicative, and comfortable balancing independent work with collaboration.

Basic Qualifications

• Fluent Hindi speaker — if not, apply to our general Mental Health Expert pool
• Graduate-level training in psychology, counseling, social work, psychiatry, or related fields
• Experience with crisis intervention, risk assessment, and severe psychopathology
• Familiarity with AI tools and large language models (LLMs)
• Strong understanding of ethics and confidentiality standards
• Ability to work remotely using Slack, LLM tools, and Microsoft Office
• Comfort with ambiguity and feedback-driven work environment
• Willingness to sign NDAs and handle sensitive content
• Availability of up to 10 hours/week, plus occasional scheduled meetings

Above and Beyond

• Completed degree and/or licensure
• 5+ years clinical crisis experience
• Experience working with youth and young adults
• Background in roleplay, theatre, or conversational design
• Experience in trust & safety, content moderation, or behavioral data labeling
• Interest in AI, NLP, or ML applications in clinical settings
• Active membership in online communities (e.g., Discord, Reddit) 🌐

Compensation

Pay ranges from $30 to $200/hour depending on licensure and experience:

• $30/hr for pre-licensed individuals and graduate students
• $50/hr for master's level clinicians
• $100/hr for doctoral-level clinicians
