About Us
Metro Dermatology of NY PC is a busy dermatology and aesthetics practice serving diverse communities across Bronx, Flushing, Elmhurst, NY, and Fort Lee, NJ. Our office operates Monday to Friday from 8 am to 6 pm, with Saturday hours from 9 am to 1 pm. Employees typically work between 34-40 hours per week, with at least one Saturday each month. Overtime is compensated for hours exceeding 40 per week.

Job Requirements 📋
- COVID-19 vaccination: Strongly recommended, including booster if eligible
- Education: High school diploma or GED required
- Language skills: Fluency in both Spanish and English required
- Experience: Prior work in a medical office or medical field required
- Preferred Skills: Experience with EHR/EMR systems, customer service background, and familiarity with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
- Abilities: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and communicate effectively
Key Responsibilities 🎯
- Open and/or close the office, including managing gates, computers, and lights (schedule-dependent)
- Greet patients, sign them in, and verify insurance and personal information
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk and reception area
- Distribute intake forms, new patient documents, and legal policies
- Process co-payments for insured patients and payments for uninsured patients
- Manage patient records, including scanning documents and updating billing systems
- Schedule appointments, both new and follow-up, according to provider availability
- Confirm upcoming appointments with patients
- Answer multi-line phone systems, redirect calls, and handle inquiries as necessary
