Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) - Bilingual English/Vietnamese

Are you fluent in both written and verbal English and Vietnamese? Do you excel in delivering exceptional customer service and fostering trusting relationships? If so, you might be the perfect fit for our team! As a first point of contact, you'll serve as a vital advocate for our patients, representing the compassionate face of ChenMed.

Key Responsibilities 📝

• Patient Interaction: Greet, check-in, check-out, and schedule appointments while maintaining organization and cleanliness in the lobby.
• Schedule Management: Serve as gatekeeper for PCP and specialist schedules, ensuring top patients are scheduled every 13 days.
• Data Entry & Communication: Use computer systems to update patient info, print forms, respond to emails, and generate new patient packets.
• Patient Engagement: Make "love" calls, mail birthday and greeting cards to celebrate special events.
• Telephone & Messaging: Answer calls accurately, relay messages promptly, and communicate effectively with patients and staff.
• Insurance & Appointments: Verify insurance details, assist with copays, and schedule follow-up or specialist appointments.
• Patient Escort & Comfort: Escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Quality & Compliance: Act as HEDIS champion, monitor hospitalizations, and provide updates on scheduled patients.
• Patient Satisfaction: Present customer service surveys, address escalations, and ensure quality service recovery.
• Team Participation: Share patient updates during daily huddles and participate in team activities.
• Transportation Coordination: Manage transportation logistics including Uber/Lyft rides, medication, and grocery deliveries.

Additional Duties 🔧

• Maintain confidentiality of patient records and personal information.
• Review and verify patient data for accuracy and completeness.
• Transmit correspondence via mail, email, or fax.
• Perform other duties as assigned or modified by management.

Required Skills & Qualifications ✨

• Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others
• Knowledge of medical insurance and electronic medical records (EMR systems)
• Familiarity with ChenMed’s products, services, policies, and procedures
• Proficiency in operating phone systems, computers, and software applications
• Strong communication skills in a professional, courteous manner
• Attention to detail for report and data accuracy
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Active listening skills
• Positive, professional attitude
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Ability and willingness to travel regionally up to 10%
• Fluent in English and Vietnamese, both spoken and written

Educational & Experience Requirements 🎓

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred
• Minimum 1 year experience in a medical clinic or similar environment
• BLS for Healthcare Providers preferred

Compensation 💰

The salary range for this position is $14.30 - $20.42 per hour. Final pay depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. Bonus or commission eligibility may apply.
