ChenMed Is Hiring A Medical Receptionist Bilingual

About the Role
The Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) is often the first contact our patients have with ChenMed. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, assisting with administrative tasks, and fostering trusting relationships with our patients. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet patients, record information, manage check-ins and check-outs, and schedule appointments. Maintain lobby organization and cleanliness.
- Schedule Management: Serve as the gatekeeper for PCP and Specialist schedules, ensuring top patients are scheduled every 13 days.
- Administrative Support: Use computer systems to update patient info, print forms, respond to emails, and prepare New Patient packets. Ensure data accuracy.
- Patient Engagement: Conduct “love” calls, send birthday and greeting cards to commemorate special events.
- Communication: Answer phones, take detailed messages, and relay information clearly to clinical staff.
- Insurance & Scheduling: Verify insurance, collect copays, and assist with follow-up or Specialist referrals as needed.
- Patient Comfort & Safety: Escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
- HEDIS & Reporting: Act as HEDIS champion, monitor scheduled patients, and report hospitalizations and census data.
- Patient Feedback: Present customer service surveys, handle escalations, and support service recovery efforts.
- Team Participation: Engage in daily and weekly huddles to share pertinent patient information.
- Transportation Coordination: Manage driver schedules, medication/grocery deliveries, and coordinate ride services (Uber/Lyft) for patients.
Additional responsibilities may include maintaining patient confidentiality, reviewing personal and appointment information, transmitting correspondence, and performing other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Excellent customer service skills and a passion for helping others 😊
- Working knowledge of medical insurance and EMR systems 💻
- Understanding of ChenMed’s products, services, and policies 📄
- Proficiency in operating phones, computers, and basic IT systems 📱💻
- Professional and courteous communication skills 🗣️
- High attention to detail for accuracy in reports and data ✅
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills ✍️
- Strong listening skills & positive attitude 😊
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) 📊
- Willingness to travel up to 10% regionally 🚗
- Fluency in English and Vietnamese (spoken and written) 🗣️🌐
Education & Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent 🎓
- Graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program (preferred) 🎓
- At least 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or similar environment 🏥
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers (preferred) ❤️
Compensation & Benefits
The pay range is $14.30 - $20.42 per hour. Final compensation depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. This role may qualify for bonuses or commissions.
