Position: Bilingual Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator)
This vital role involves being one of the first points of contact for our patients, serving as a dedicated patient advocate and delivering exceptional customer service. Fluency in both English and Vietnamese (spoken and written) is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Patient Interaction: Greet, check-in, check-out, schedule appointments, and maintain lobby organization.
- Schedule Management: Oversee PCP and Specialist schedules, ensuring Top 40 patients are seen every 13 days.
- Administrative Support: Utilize computer systems for data entry, printing forms, responding to emails, and preparing New Patient packets.
- Patient Engagement: Conduct "love" calls, send birthday and greeting cards to honor special occasions.
- Communication: Answer calls, take accurate messages, and provide patients with information about clinical staff.
- Insurance & Appointments: Verify insurance details, collect copays, and assist with follow-up and referral scheduling.
- Patient Comfort & Care: Escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring their well-being and comfort.
- Quality & Compliance: Act as HEDIS champion, monitor hospitalizations, and report relevant data.
- Customer Service & Feedback: Present survey forms during check-out and escalate issues for immediate resolution.
- Team Engagement: Participate in daily/weekly huddles and share pertinent patient information.
- Transportation Management: Coordinate Uber/Lyft rides, medication deliveries, and grocery runs—monitoring related activities and challenges.
Additional Duties
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
- Review and verify patient data for accuracy.
- Transmit correspondence via mail, email, or fax.
- Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications & Skills
- Customer Service: Passionate about hosting an outstanding patient experience.
- Medical Knowledge: Familiarity with insurance, EMR systems, and ChenMed offerings.
- IT Skills: Proficient with phones, computers, and standard software.
- Communication: Ability to interact professionally and courteously with diverse individuals.
- Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracies in reports and data entry.
- Verbal & Written Skills: Excellent communication in both English and Vietnamese.
- Additional: Willing to travel regionally up to 10%, strong listening skills, and a positive attitude.
Education & Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Medical Assistant certification from an accredited program preferred.
- Minimum 1 year experience in a medical clinic or equivalent setting.
- BLS certification for Healthcare Providers is a plus.
Compensation & Benefits
The hourly wage ranges from $14.30 to $20.42. Final pay depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. This role may also include bonuses or commissions.
