Position: Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) 🩺

Overview

The Medical Receptionist, also known as a Care Facilitator, is often the first point of contact for our patients. This role involves delivering exceptional customer service, advocating for patients, and providing essential administrative support. Key Responsibilities

• Patient Interaction: Greet patients, check-in and check-out, and schedule appointments while ensuring lobby organization and cleanliness.
• Schedule Management: Serve as the gatekeeper for PCP and specialist schedules, ensuring top priorities are scheduled every 13 days for top 40 patients.
• Administrative Tasks: Use computer systems to update patient info, print forms, respond to emails, and generate patient packets. Ensure contact details are accurate.
• Patient Engagement: Conduct "love" calls, send birthday and greeting cards to celebrate special occasions.
• Communication: Answer phone calls, take detailed messages, and relay information efficiently to the relevant staff.
• Insurance & Scheduling: Verify insurance, collect copays, and assist with follow-up appointments and specialist referrals.
• Patient Comfort & Support: Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure their well-being before leaving.
• Clinical Support & Reporting: Act as HEDIS champion, monitor hospitalizations, and report relevant data.
• Customer Feedback: Provide patient surveys during check-out and address concerns for service recovery if necessary.
• Team Collaboration: Participate in daily and weekly huddles to communicate patient updates.
• Transportation Coordination: Manage transportation logistics including Uber/Lyft rides, medication deliveries, and related scheduling.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
• Review and verify patients' personal and appointment data for accuracy.
• Transmit correspondence via mail, email, or fax.
• Perform other duties as assigned or modified at manager’s discretion.

Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

• Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for helping others 🤝
• Proficiency with medical insurance, EMR systems, and Microsoft Office Suite 📋
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written 🗣️✍️
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy 🧾
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor 😊
• Ability to travel locally up to 10% of the time
• Fluency in both English and Vietnamese (spoken and written)

Education & Experience Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required 🎓
• Graduate of a recognized Medical Assistant program preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or similar environment required
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers preferred

Compensation & Benefits

Hourly Range: $14.30 – $20.42

Final pay depends on experience, education, location, and other relevant factors. The role may also be eligible for bonuses or commissions.
