Position: Medical Receptionist (Care Facilitator) 🌟

Note: This role requires bilingual fluency in English and Vietnamese, both written and verbal.

About the Role

The Medical Receptionist, also known as a Care Facilitator, is often the first contact a patient has with our ChenMed family. As a patient advocate, you will deliver outstanding customer service, manage administrative tasks, and help build trusting relationships with our patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Interaction: Greet patients, record information during check-in/check-out, schedule appointments, and conduct lobby checks to ensure a welcoming environment.
• Schedule Management: Manage schedules for PCP and specialists, ensuring top-tier patient flow and adherence to scheduling standards (e.g., Top 40 patients every 13 days).
• Administrative Support: Use computer systems to update patient records, print forms, respond to emails, and prepare new patient packets.
• Patient Communication: Make "love" calls, send birthday and greeting cards to celebrate special occasions.
• Phone Duties: Answer calls, take detailed messages, and direct messages appropriately.
• Patient Verification & Payments: Verify insurance, collect copays, and assist with scheduling follow-up visits and referrals.
• Patient Comfort: Escort patients to exam rooms, ensuring their comfort and well-being.
• Clinical Support: Support HEDIS initiatives, report hospitalizations, and assist with data tracking.
• Customer Service & Feedback: Issue surveys during checkout and escalate issues to improve service quality.
• Team Participation: Join daily and weekly huddles to discuss patient updates.
• Transportation Coordination: Manage transportation logistics, including rideshare arrangements and deliveries.

Additional Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information and medical records.
• Review and verify patient data for accuracy.
• Transmit correspondence via mail, email, or fax.
• Perform other duties as assigned or modified by management.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for helping others 😊
• Working knowledge of medical insurance and electronic medical records (EMR)
• Familiarity with ChenMed products, policies, and procedures
• Proficient with phone systems, computers, and basic IT tools
• Professional and courteous communication with colleagues and patients
• Detail-oriented and accurate in data handling
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills 🗣️✍️
• Strong listening skills and a positive attitude
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Willingness to travel up to 10% regionally
• Fluency in English and Vietnamese (spoken and written) 🗣️📝

Education & Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Graduation from a recognized Medical Assistant program preferred
• At least 1 year of experience in a medical clinic or similar setting
• BLS certification for Healthcare Providers preferred

Compensation & Benefits 💰

The hourly pay range for this position is $14.30 - $20.42. Final compensation depends on experience, education, location, and other factors. The role may also include bonuses or commissions.
